More Ways To Profit With Resell Rights Products

There are many ways to profit from resell rights products.

The first way, of course, is to simply resell the product. However, there are ways that you can realize even more profits. It just takes a little thought and creativity.

When you sell the product, have an additional product or products to sell as an upsell or backend product. For instance, sell the resell product at 39.95, then have an upsell, or a related product, that you offer either on your order page for an increased price, such as 49.95 or 59.95.

Your upsell could even be a membership website, for which you would collect monthly membership fees from your customers.

You can also advertise a backend product on the thank you page. This is a product that is offered after the purchase of the original product is made, for a different price. Backend products can cost more than the original product, the same, or even less.

You can also profit more from your resell rights products by repackaging it, including more products, and raising the value of the package - which in turn raises the price. If you have master resell rights of the product, which allows you to sell the resell rights as well, you can create a nice package of various related products and sell resell rights to that package as well.

You could even simply sell the product, or give it away if you are allowed to do so, in order to use a squeeze page to collect quality leads. A large list of quality leads opens many profitable doors. For instance, you could enter into joint venture deals to sell high ticket products to your list, or rent your list out to other companies for a fee.

However, before you start using various methods for increasing your profits with resell rights products, it is very important that you read your license agreement to be certain that you are not in violation of any of the terms.

Make Your Resell Rights Business Successful

Success in business, especially in the resale rights game, comes down to one factor: Uniqueness!

If you want your marketing, and your business, to be successful, you have to be different!

To be successful in business and marketing, you have to set yourself apart!

You have to stand out in the crowd. You have to get noticed!

And you can’t accomplish that by doing what everyone else is doing.

It’s really a “mindset” that you have to adopt. A mindset that states…“I don’t care how saturated the market ‘appears’ to be, I can still stick out of the crowd and differentiate myself.

All I have to do is put a little thought into it.”

While most people will look at the competition and give up, the real entrepreneurs will laugh at it and think, "I will beat them easily" and then find ways to do just that. If everybody else is selling the same product, offer your customers more for their money!

More value, added incentives, whatever else you can give them to make the product more appealing to them.
Add a valuable bonus that no one else is giving! (Say, a hot report or two that you wrote yourself, perhaps? ;-)

It’s always better if the bonus you’re giving is not being given by anyone else. Just create your own unique reports! (Even if they’re just 1 to 5 pages in length. It’s the quality that matters, not quantity.)

Most people get lazy and just keep cutting the price. If “price” is your only differentiating factor, someone will always undercut you. And that’s just bad for everyone involved. Including the customer, because she will attach less value to the product if she only had to pay a few bucks for it. It’s just a bad way to do business.

Offering a great price is one thing. Ruining the value of the product by selling it for pennies on the dollar is just bad business. A better strategy is to keep the price competitive but offer more value (instead of cutting the price too much.)

Do that and they’ll buy from you.

And… if they’ve already purchased from someone else, they may get upset about your 'better deal' for a bit.
But guess what… the next time they think of buying a product, they’ll check YOUR offer first. Because you showed them that you offer more for their money then the other resellers.

Here’s something interesting…

If you take 100 resale rights holders of any product, you’ll find that in most cases (if not all) only 3 to 5% of those individuals are doing well with the product. The rest of them are either doing okay, or very poorly, or they're just not selling the product at all! (Strange, but true!)

Think about that for a minute…

That means, you’re not competing with 100 resellers anymore (as most people may have quickly “assumed.”) Your real competition consists of only 3 to 5 people out of those 100 resellers!! That’s it!!

Keep in mind that this is in fact a business. You’re not selling other people’s products. You’re building a business that happens to involves selling other people’s products.

Take it seriously.

And give it the attention, energy and respect that a real business deserves, because it is a real business. Don't treat it like a hobby or spare time activity. Fortunes are being made by people using resale rights and there’s no reason why you can’t be one of those people.

More on Article marketing

Have you noticed the number of article directories that have cropped up in recent times? Is there a reason for this? You bet there is – because all over the world, in every niche you can imagine, ezine publishers, ebook authors, website owners etc are all searching for fresh content that they can publish for free.

Here is a list of the top 10 directories - there are probably 2000 or more total!

  1. ezinearticles.com
  2. articlesbase.com
  3. buzzle.com
  4. goarticles.com
  5. helium.com
  6. articlesnatch.com
  7. articledashboard.com
  8. articlealley.com
  9. selfgrowth.com/articles.html
10. ideamarketers.com

So why should you let go of your valuable content for free? Because when you write an article and send it out to various directories and ezine publishers, it will begin to circulate around the internet. Think about it – your article containing your resource box and sales page will ultimately be seen by thousands (maybe even several thousands) of people.

Of course it can be daunting to write out an article – it must be well crafted and have a high informational content. While different article directories have their own length rules it’s usually a good idea to keep your articles in the 500 to 750 word mark. When writing your articles, remember that it will be a showcase for your resale rights product. As such you really need to deliver the same level of high quality that is inside the product you’re trying to sell.

When writing out your articles keep the following in mind:

• Think of your article as you would your sales page – make sure you have an attention grabbing header and keep the paragraphs short, interesting and easy to read.

• This should go without saying but ensure that your article contains no grammar or spelling mistakes. These mistakes can crush your credibility.

• Keep the resource box hype-free. Try and entice your viewer to your website without making it seem like a blatant advert.

• Create a plan for your article when you’re writing – what will you include? How will you start and end the article? How many words do you want to write?

Once you’re finished writing your article you should submit it to as many relevant directories and newsgroups as possible. Remember however that you should only submit articles to places where they are wanted – posting an article on weight loss to an internet marketing site is a waste of that site moderators time as well as your own. Search for “article directories” in Google and you will find an endless supply.

Now, here you are, you have a website, you have the URL, and you have an article which is going to promote that website. What do you do? You go to every single article directory found in the search engines, log in, subscribe, wait for them to send you an invitation to welcome you into their midst, and then submit your article. Then you go to the next article directory upon your list, and begin with the same procedure again to infinity and beyond! yawn!

But just imagine of any procedure in which you can just submit an article to one place and have it distributed automatically to hundreds of article directories, at one time. Unbelievable is not it? Well, that where Unique Article Wizard comes in.

This tool is slowly getting lots of popularity as a medium to distribute your articles all over the Internet, without you going through the find article directory — submit articles runaround.

Three Main Types of Resell Rights

While some people know exactly what resell rights are, some have a very vague idea about it.

The products with resale rights come in a variety of sizes and shapes. You may get resell rights to eBooks, software, video tutorials or audio packages. You may get Private Label Rights. There can be a large number of products bundled all together and then sold for a very low price. Or there is just a single product which is sold for a higher price. I personally love the bundles because they are easy to sell. People like to get more for their money.

To begin with, there are the simple resell rights. These simply give you the right to sell your product and offer nothing else. Although a lot of publishers will offer a simple sales page with the product. This basic resell right will not allow you to claim that the product is yours, nor can you give someone else the resell rights for this particular product.

These rights are generally the least expensive rights you can get, and they make it much simpler to get into profit quicker. In a lot of cases, these rights are free, but they sometimes have a fixed price and terms of sale.

To put it simply, suppose if the product sells for $20, you may have to sell it for $20 only, and not at a price higher or lower than $20. Most of the time you are able to choose your price, but will usually be asked not to go below a certain price so as to not decrease the value of the product. When you are buying the rights for a certain product, make sure that you understand it perfectly before you sell it.

Master resale rights are somewhat more complex. These rights generally come with the webpage to accompany the product you are dealing with. These rights allow you to not only sell the product but also to pass the resell rights for this particular product on to your customers. NOTE: If they come with a salespage make sure you can edit it.

This can be a good thing because if you are offering your customers the resell rights to the product then they are able to resell them as well. This will make the product you are selling have a higher perceived value whish may bring you a higher price.

I have gotten free or very inexpensive products in the past and have been offered the resell rights to that product for a higher, or even a separate cost. I don’t mind making $10 or so off of a free product!

Then there is the Grandaddy of them all >>> Private Label Rights. Private Label Rights (PLR) means you can literally do anything you want with the product. You can rewrite it and put your name as the author - you can give it way or sell for whatever price you choose. You can (in the case of a PLR ebook) break it down and use the articles on your blog of website or rewrite them and submit to article directories. PLR is such a big deal that I have a whole website dedicated to them only. See that site  HERE.

You will receive a license in the file with any resell rights product you obtain. There is one final point of importance. You have to remember that every product is different in some way and will come with its own license. You should always make sure that you read the License Agreement carefully, so that you understand what you can and cannot do with the product.

Here are 3 examples of a Licenses that came with ebooks I got to resell. As you can see, they vary by product owner. I have one somewhere that looks like a High School Diploma!
